2) PUBLIC FORUM: Schools out! Sports and Recreation Opportunities for Developmentally Disabled

TIME: Tuesday, June 14 at 6:30 pm

LOCATION: Innovative Services Northwest Community Room

Families affected by autism face many challenges. What sports and recreational opportunities are available locally for the developmentally disabled?

This public forum will provide lots of options. Our panelists will describe their organization’s sports and recreation programs for the developmentally disabled.

We will meet at Innovative Services NW at 9414 NE Fourth Plain Blvd. The building is near the Vancouver Mall but getting there is tricky. Pretend you are going to the Best Western Motel, also on Fourth Plain. The Innovative Services building is the 3 story building next of the motel.


3) SUMMER TIME IN SOUTHERN OREGON! The Autism Society of Oregon, Southern Chapter Representatives, have some fun activties planned for this summer for the Autism Community living in Grants Pass! Sensory Friendly Movie: South Gate Cinema in Grants Pass will show Cars 2 on July 9th. Regular movie tickets apply. Sensory Friendly Swim: At the YMCA in Grants Pass. NORTHWEST AUTISM FOUNDATION GALA & GOLF FUND RAISING EVENTS IN JUNE The Northwest Autism Foundation (NWAF) is having a Gala Banquet and Concert on Saturday, June 25th at the Rose Garden Arena and a Celebrity Golf Classic on Monday June 27th at Pumpkin Ridge. Both events will raise money for children with autism to help facilitate early diagnosis and effective teatment of ASD.
